Job Description - QMS Specialist

In Brussels, we have our Structural and Mechatronics Engineering offices, where all our new programs begin and our workshops are equipped with modern


machines that produce complex metallic assemblies for aircraft and space launchers as well as advanced Thrust Vectoring Systems for space launchers.



Mission:  




 




Your main mission as QMS Specialist is to participate in the development and management of SABCA’s quality system. You will contribute to the definition, compliance, and management of Sabca’s quality system in accordance with EASA PART21 regulations and the Safety Management System (SMS). You will also ensure the coordination and support of quality management processes, policies, and procedures to create greater efficiency, better and more consistent control of key processes, and a deeper understanding of customer needs.

Responsabilities:  






  • Ensure compliance and monitoring of quality systems, processes, and procedures to guarantee adherence to EASA PART 21 regulations (EN9100 and PART145 are a plus); 








  • Ensure the development, compliance, and monitoring of the Safety Management System (SMS) within the framework of EASA PART21G in processes; 








  • Promote customer focus; 








  • Define common tools within the organization as part of the quality system; 








  • Evaluate the implementation of the QMS/SMS by auditing processes; 








  • Serve as the point of reference for all internal and external audits; 








  • Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of the quality system; 








  • Recommend necessary actions to maintain the sustainability of the system, advise and assist where possible, and secure changes; 








  • Identify and solve issues on the field by improving Quality Management Systems; 








  • Provide training on the Quality System; 








  • Support SABCA staff across different sites (Brussels, Lummen, and Casablanca); 








  • Manage and support the creation/updating of the quality documentation system. 






You are responsible for:  




 






  • Ensuring compliance with the EN9100 quality standard and the ISO 14001 environmental standard; 








  • Performing rigorous self-checks to guarantee the quality and conformity of the work; 








  • Transferring your skills and knowledge to new team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and mutual support; 








  • Complying with safety, health, and environmental rules; 








  • Reporting risks and applying procedures to prevent incidents. 








 




Profile:  




 




Education / Experience:  




 






  • Education: You hold a Master’s degree in engineering or quality management.       






 






  • Desired experience: You have experience in quality management systems, procedure management, and continuous improvement. 






 




Skills:  




 






  • Soft Skills:       






 






  • You are able to work in synergy with internal and external customers, as well as with third parties or authorities; 








  • You possess excellent communication skills and can interact with all levels of the company, from blue-collar workers to senior management; 








  • You have the ability to persuade and support change; 








  • You are flexible and willing to work at our different sites (Lummen and Morocco). 






 






  • Technical: You have in-depth knowledge of EASA PART 21 regulations and the Safety Management System (SMS). 






 








  • Languages: You are fluent in English, Dutch, and French, both spoken and written.
