Make your mark for patients 

We are looking for an Asset Management Excellence Lead who is rigorous and collaborative to join our Service Excellence team, based in our offices in Brussels, Belgium.

About the role

As Asset Management Excellence Lead, you will define and govern how UCB manages its information technology assets and configuration data globally. You will play a central role in transforming our operating model from traditional technology operations towards service and process management. In this newly created position, you will build asset management capabilities, strengthen inventory accuracy, support regulatory compliance and contribute to the implementation of ServiceNow.

This is an individual contributor role focused on process ownership, governance and stakeholder engagement. You will be an expert user of ServiceNow rather than a technical ServiceNow developer.

Who you’ll work with

You will be working in a newly established Service Excellence team that brings together service management process leads.

Reporting to the Head of Global Information Technology Infrastructure and Services, you will collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, architecture, compliance, procurement and other service management teams.

You will also work closely with external managed service providers and ServiceNow implementation partners. Through clear standards, communication and process discipline, you will help asset owners and suppliers maintain accurate, complete and compliant information.

What you’ll do

• Define, establish and continuously improve global information technology asset and configuration management processes using Information Technology Infrastructure Library principles


• Own standards covering the complete asset lifecycle, including requests, procurement, deployment, maintenance, changes and secure decommissioning


• Champion the configuration management database, ensuring that asset records, ownership information, data relationships and inventories remain accurate, complete and reliable


• Translate asset management needs into clear ServiceNow requirements, working with platform teams and implementation partners on integrations, automation, controls and validation


• Establish policies, controls and reporting that support pharmaceutical quality requirements, cybersecurity regulations, audit readiness and traceability across systems and suppliers


• Define and monitor performance indicators while driving improvements in process maturity, automation, accountability, inventory accuracy and data quality


• Build productive relationships across UCB and with external providers, encouraging asset owners to follow agreed processes and maintain compliant information

Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills

• Master’s degree in Information Technology or any related field


• Strong knowledge of ITIL and practical experience establishing or improving service management processes


• At least five years of relevant experience in IT asset management, configuration management or a related service management function


• Practical asset management experience using ServiceNow. Experience supporting new implementations, major transformation or organisational restructuring would be a plus


• The ability to lead through expertise, structure and engagement, driving process adoption and accountability without relying on direct reporting authority


• Experience working with external service providers, implementation partners and geographically distributed teams, including nearshore and offshore resources


• Experience working in regulated environments, combined with a rigorous and data-driven approach


• Fluent in English. Any other language would be a plus
