This position sits at the heart of MCI Benelux's Association Solutions Division, supporting international association clients across conferences, educational programmes, membership initiatives, and community-building activities. You will help associations strengthen their impact, visibility, and engagement by delivering high-quality marketing and communications across multiple projects and audiences.

We're looking for a Senior Marketing & Communications Coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced agency environment — someone who can juggle multiple clients and projects, stay calm under pressure, and deliver work that's both insightful and impactful.

Associations rely on us to grow membership, elevate programmes, and drive engagement around conferences and events. You'll bring a balanced mix of marketing and communications expertise to plan and execute integrated campaigns, craft compelling content, and steward client relationships, all while collaborating closely with other marketing and communications colleagues, event project teams, account leads, creative designers, and digital specialists.

What you’ll do

This is a hands-on role: you’ll be expected to both plan and execute, from shaping campaigns and messaging to building emails, updating websites, creating content and reporting on results.

• Plan and deliver integrated marketing and communications campaigns across multiple association clients and projects.


• Create and manage content across email, websites, social media and other digital channels.


• Develop campaign messaging and adapt content for different audiences, including members, event participants, partners and prospects.


• Build and send email campaigns, manage audience segmentation and support database-driven communications.


• Keep websites and other digital channels accurate and up to date through CMS platforms.


• Support the marketing of conferences, webinars, membership programmes and other association activities.


• Create and adapt simple visual assets using Canva and work with designers where more complex creative support is needed.


• Track campaign performance, draw practical insights from the data and recommend improvements.


• Manage competing priorities and deadlines across several clients, working closely with account, event and other internal teams.


• Maintain quality and brand consistency: ensure communications are accurate, on-brand and delivered in line with GDPR and relevant data protection requirements.
  

   

  
  

   

  
  

What you’ll bring

• Around 4-5 years’ experience in a hands-on marketing and communications role, ideally in a multi-client, association, membership or events environment.


• Strong copywriting and editing skills, with the ability to adapt tone and messaging for different audiences and channels.


• Practical experience delivering email, web and social media campaigns from start to finish.


• Experience with email marketing platforms, CMS tools and audience segmentation.


• Confidence using Canva to create or adapt day-to-day marketing materials.


• A good understanding of campaign reporting and the ability to turn results into practical recommendations.


• Strong organisation and project management skills, with the ability to manage several priorities and deadlines at once.


• The confidence to work independently, make sound day-to-day decisions and keep delivery moving without needing close supervision.


• Excellent written and spoken English.

Engagement Terms

• Commitment: 90–100%, freelance


• Indicative day rate: €200–€275/day, depending on experience and location


• Location: Remote, EU-based


• Travel: 2–3 client/event trips per year, plus occasional visits to the Brussels office


• Invoicing: Monthly against agreed working days


• Start: As soon as possible
