About the Role

RELYzIT Talent is seeking a Senior UX Designer (Freelance) to join our client’s team for a high-impact, 5-month project based in Brussels. What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing user-friendly, accessible interfaces that delight and empower users.


• Leading the maintenance and continuous improvement of the design system, ensuring components, patterns, and guidelines are consistent, accessible, and up-to-date.


• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the correct implementation and evolution of the design system.


• Conducting needs analysis to deeply understand users and their environments, translating insights into actionable requirements.


• Planning and executing user research (interviews, surveys, focus groups, user tests) to inform design decisions.


• Proposing and prototyping solutions using both low and high-fidelity approaches, with a mobile-first mindset.


• Supporting analysts and developers in translating requirements into seamless user interfaces.


• Ensuring all graphic designs comply with WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards.


• Maintaining regular, effective communication with both clients and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.


• Championing best practices in UX and design system management, actively contributing to their evolution.

• Demonstrated expertise in designing, managing, and evolving design systems for complex applications.

• Exceptional problem-solving skills and a relentless focus on delivering value to users.


• Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

• Commitment to accessibility and inclusive design, with hands-on experience applying WCAG 2.1 standards.

• Axure (confirmed proficiency)

• Deep understanding and application of WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards

Language Proficiency

• Bilingual proficiency in French and Dutch is required.

Other Requirements

• This is a freelance position for a fixed duration of 5 months, based in Brussels, Belgium (partial remote possible).

• Experience working in agile, collaborative environments is a plus.
