About the Role

Join RELYzIT Talent as a Tester and Business Analyst, where your expertise will directly shape the digital transformation of public services. Embedded within our client’s Service Delivery Management team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of applications that drive the dematerialization of urban planning and environmental permits. This freelance position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, influence mission-critical solutions, and contribute to the evolution of digital public services in Belgium.

Key Responsibilities

• Rapidly understand business processes related to urban planning and environmental permit management to ensure comprehensive test coverage


• Analyze functional specifications, change requests, and user requirements to design effective test strategies


• Design, document, and maintain detailed test scenarios and test cases that reflect real-world usage


• Prepare and manage test data for various test campaigns


• Verify that functional requirements and specifications are accurately implemented in delivered solutions


• Execute manual functional, regression, and integration tests to validate application quality


• Identify, document, and track anomalies using Jira, ensuring timely resolution


• Collaborate closely with analysts, business stakeholders, and development teams to foster a shared understanding of issues and solutions


• Participate in validation activities and support the acceptance of new deliveries


• Test web services using tools such as SoapUI and Postman


• Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality assurance and testing processes


• Gradually engage in the implementation and maintenance of automated tests (using Playwright) as application maturity allows


• Ensure traceability of tests and uphold the overall quality of delivered applications

Technical Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Tester in IT projects (Senior level)


• Solid knowledge of testing methodologies and standards (ISTQB, TMap)


• Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Xray, Confluence)


• Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks (Playwright preferred)


• Hands-on experience with API testing (SOAP, REST, etc.)


• Understanding of permit management processes is a plus


• Experience in designing and executing both manual and automated tests
