Overview:


We are looking for an Associate Delivery Manager to join the Product Delivery team within the Innovation, Architecture & Product Development group, part of the Business Technology (BT) organization.


The Associate Delivery Manager contributes to product delivery for a defined set of products or initiatives within a business domain. This role owns and handles the planning, coordination, and execution of product delivery activities in close partnership with Product Delivery Managers, Product Owners, Domain BT Partners, and Product Delivery teams.


The Associate Delivery Manager plays a key role in ensuring alignment, transparency, and execution discipline, while developing delivery management expertise. The role reports to a Senior Product Delivery Manager or Product Delivery Manager within the BT Product Delivery organization.


 


Essential Functions:


 


Main Accountabilities



  • Collaborates with Product Owners (PO), Business Technology Partners and Product Delivery Managers to understand vision; collaborates on building realistic roadmaps and timelines for products delivery.

  • Collaborates closely with Product Delivery teams, including analysts, developers, engineers, architects, quality assurance, and operations, in order to ensure requirements are fully understood and that implementation plans match expectations.

  • Ensures there is common understanding between Product Owner and Product Delivery team when it comes to implementing requirements.

  • Ensures availability of resources required to deliver products within committed timeline

  • Ensures alignment of products with company’s architecture and technology guidelines/standards

  • Monitors completeness and validity of product delivery process, escalates discovered inefficiencies.

  • Monitors and escalates issues related to dependences between teams/groups involved in product delivery, keeping alignment with timelines, requirements and objectives

  • Documents and mitigates potential delivery risks identified in the process

  • Closely tracks and documents execution process, key decisions and delivery of increments, supports PO in reporting updates to business and BT

  • Interface with stakeholders and CoEs, representing product needs, objectives and progress.

  • Monitors capacity and performance of Product Delivery teams, manage gaps related to capacity or skillset

  • Oversees and manages delivery with SOW vendors and MSPs within entrusted products

  • Manages alignment between technology, business and product to assure successful and valuable outcomes

  • Answers incoming questions about the products within entrusted scope.

  • Oversees and Manages project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.

  • Plays impactful role in successful product implementations.

  • Monitors and escalates risks, outlines and aligns mitigation plans

  • Contributes to RFP process with product delivery perspective and coordinates inputs from relevant CoEs

  • Product organization alignment level.

  • Identifying and evaluating opportunities to improve products/services or processes using best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues.

  • Solving difficult, non-routine delivery problems that may require taking a new perspective on existing solutions and performing detailed analysis.



  • Resolving conflicts and facilitating effective cooperation between teams and CoEs.

  • Identifying and mitigating potential risks to project success.



  • Contributing to decisions regarding resource allocation and project sequencing to optimize delivery timelines and maintain execution discipline.


 


Management/Leadership:



  • Demonstrates leadership and independence in managing projects and coordinating cross-functional teams.

  • Effectively communicates project status, risks, and opportunities within Product Delivery team.

  • Builds strong relationships with project stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and ensuring their needs are met.

  • Contributes to Statement of Work execution with 3rd-party vendors

Knowledge and Technical Competencies:



  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and agile principles.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.

  • Proven ability to work independently and prioritize work effectively.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.

  • Demonstrated ability to establish clear milestones and deliver against committed timeline

  • Demonstrated ability to develop business and technical knowledge and drive issue resolution

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, experience in work in tech environment

  • Belief in a non-hierarchical culture of collaboration, transparency, safety, and trust


  • Fluent written and spoken English



 


Minimum Requirements:


 


Education/Experience:



  • Typically a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Typically 6+ years of experience in work with technology products delivery, including at least 3+ years of experience in IT project management, product delivery management, or similar.

  • Demonstrated experience in managing small to medium-sized projects of moderate complexity, contributing to process improvements, and achieving expected results.
