Cultura Inglesa Bilingual School (CIBS) is a school in the making — a pedagogical project built on Cultura Inglesa's decades of expertise in English teaching, bringing together academic excellence, intentional bilingualism and the holistic development of every child.
We're looking for professionals who want to help build, from the ground up, a coherent, rigorous, child-centred school culture. Our team believes learning a language means learning to think, express oneself and relate to the world differently; and we work with pedagogical intentionality in everything we do, from planning to assessment.
Joining CIBS means becoming part of a community grounded in national and international frameworks, committed to ongoing professional development and to building a sound, ethical, best-practice approach to bilingual education.
Key Responsibilities
Planning and Curriculum
Prepare weekly lesson plans aligned with the BNCC, the institutional curriculum and international guidelines for Music Education, in both English and Portuguese.
Design experiences based on listening, creation, performance, appreciation and musical inquiry.
Ensure clear linguistic intentionality across bilingual practice.
Integrate music into interdisciplinary and institutional projects.
Teaching and Language
Develop musical literacy within a bilingual context.
Foster English language acquisition through musical practice.
Monitor pupils' artistic, expressive and socio-emotional development.
Plan individualised pedagogical interventions when needed.
Assessment and Monitoring
Produce systematic records, audiovisual portfolios and reports.
Use data to inform pedagogical decision-making.
Keep institutional systems up to date.
Plan and administer formative and summative assessments in Music.
Institutional Commitment
Take part in training sessions, pedagogical meetings, staff councils and school projects.
Follow protocols, internal policies and leadership guidance.
Contribute to curriculum review processes within the subject area.
Act in line with the school's culture and values.
Relationship with Families
Hold meetings, feedback sessions and formal communications when necessary.
Report on progress, challenges and strategies in line with institutional policy.
Share evidence of musical learning.
Follow communication protocols.
Ethics, Safety and Safeguarding
Comply fully with child protection policies.
Safeguard pupils' physical, social and emotional wellbeing.
Report risk situations in line with protocol.
Ensure a safe environment at all times.

A dedicated, committed and collaborative approach.
A continuous-learning mindset.
Expected Experience
Teaching experience in Early Years and/or Primary education.
Experience in bilingual settings or teaching through English as a medium of instruction.
Experience with curriculum planning aligned with the BNCC and international frameworks.
Experience with formative assessment, record-keeping and portfolios.
