Business Development Manager (Bioenergy)

In this role, you will work closely with commercial, technical, marketing, and innovation teams to translate market insights into growth opportunities. You will play a key role in shaping customer strategies, creating value-driven solutions, and positioning Novonesis as a trusted partner across the animal nutrition and biofuels markets.

The Role & Your Impact

As a strategic and customer-facing contributor, you will lead business development activities focused on identifying, nurturing, and converting new commercial opportunities. You will combine market intelligence, relationship building, and value selling capabilities to create long-term growth and strengthen Novonesis' industry presence.

Key responsibilities include:

• Build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, customers, partners, and industry influencers.
• Develop and maintain customer power maps to understand decision-making structures and effectively leverage executive-level relationships.
• Monitor market trends, customer needs, competitive dynamics, and emerging opportunities in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Technical teams.
• Generate qualified leads and identify new business opportunities through networking, industry events, digital channels, and direct prospecting activities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop compelling customer proposals and presentations that clearly communicate value and business impact.
• Lead commercial negotiations and support deal closure activities to achieve growth objectives and establish successful long-term collaborations.
• Represent Novonesis in industry forums, conferences, and customer meetings to strengthen market positioning and brand credibility.

What You'll Need to Be Successful

• Proven experience and a strong track record in Business Development, Technical Sales, Key Account Management, or Value Selling roles.
• Demonstrated ability to build trusted customer relationships and drive complex commercial opportunities from prospecting to closure.
• Advanced English and Spanish language skills.
• Strong communication, networking, negotiation, and presentation capabilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• Customer-centric mindset with the ability to translate customer insights into differentiated value propositions and market-driven positioning.
• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
• Enterprise mindset with the ability to drive innovation and identify new growth opportunities.
• Availability to travel up to 50% of the time.

Additional Skills & Interests We Value

• Experience within Biofuels, Agribusiness, Feed Ingredients, Biotechnology, or related industries.
• Knowledge of DDGs, corn oil, mycotoxins, fermentation technologies, or adjacent market segments.
• Experience working in multinational and cross-functional environments.
• Passion for sustainability, innovation, and science-based solutions.
• Familiarity with strategic account planning and executive stakeholder engagement.
