This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Cientista de Dados Sênior / Data Scientist based in Brazil.
In this role, you will join a highly data-driven and fast-scaling environment where data is at the core of product, marketing, and operational decisions. You will be responsible for transforming complex datasets into actionable insights and production-ready machine learning solutions that directly influence business outcomes. This is a senior-level position with end-to-end ownership, from problem framing and experimentation to model deployment and performance monitoring. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, and Business stakeholders to define metrics, design experiments, and guide strategic decisions. Accountabilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy machine learning and statistical models from end to end, ensuring business impact and production readiness.
- Build and maintain scalable data pipelines covering ingestion, processing, and consumption layers.
- Analyze complex datasets to generate actionable insights and clearly communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and business teams to define metrics, hypotheses, and A/B testing strategies.
- Ensure data quality, governance, reproducibility, and best practices across all analytical and modeling workflows.
- Support decision-making through experimentation, forecasting, and advanced statistical analysis.
- Mentor team members and promote a strong culture of data science excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Strong senior experience in Data Science / Machine Learning with full lifecycle ownership (problem definition to production deployment and impact measurement).
- Solid foundation in statistics, predictive modeling, and experimental design.
- Advanced proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit-learn, etc.) and SQL for data analysis and modeling.
- Experience working with Git and software engineering best practices for reproducibility and collaboration.
- Hands-on experience with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and API-based systems.
- Strong ability to translate business problems into data-driven solutions with clear communication skills.
- Experience with MLOps practices such as CI/CD, model monitoring, or feature stores is a plus.
- Background in product-driven companies (fintech, e-commerce, healthtech, or similar) is a differential.
- Knowledge of advanced ML techniques such as NLP, recommendation systems, or deep learning is also a plus.
