This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Construction Estimator – Commercial based in Brazil.
This role offers the opportunity to join a fast-paced, U.S.-based commercial construction environment fully remotely from LATAM. You will be responsible for producing accurate and competitive cost estimates that directly influence national bidding success across retail, office, medical, hospitality, and tenant improvement projects. Working closely with project managers and preconstruction teams, you will support end-to-end bid preparation and subcontractor coordination. The position requires strong analytical thinking, precision, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a high-volume estimating workflow. You will play a critical role in ensuring pricing accuracy and trade coverage across diverse commercial projects. This is an impactful role for someone who thrives in structured, detail-driven, and collaborative construction environments.
Accountabilities
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and complete estimates that support competitive bidding across multiple commercial construction projects. You will perform detailed quantity takeoffs, analyze drawings and specifications, and build cost models aligned with project scope and market conditions.
- Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and material breakdowns from construction drawings and specifications
- Develop accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial bids across multiple project types
- Review and analyze subcontractor pricing to ensure full trade coverage and competitiveness
- Coordinate with subcontractors to obtain updated and comprehensive pricing information
- Support end-to-end bid preparation, submission, and documentation processes
- Collaborate with project management during contract review and post-award setup
- Manage RFIs and preconstruction submittals as part of the bidding lifecycle
- Use estimating platforms (e.g., PlanHub) to manage bid workflows and subcontractor outreach
Requirements
This role requires prior experience in construction estimating, particularly within commercial or general contracting environments. Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and comfort working with numbers and deadlines are essential for success.
- 2–3+ years of experience in construction estimating (or equivalent relevant background)
- Experience in commercial general contracting or multi-trade project bidding
- Strong understanding of construction cost structures, pricing, and subcontractor coordination
- Familiarity with national construction standards and repeat-project pricing models
- Experience collaborating with project management teams
- Proficiency with PlanHub and/or PlanSwift or similar estimating tools
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment
- Strong organization, multitasking, and time management skills
- Analytical mindset with high attention to detail and accuracy
