This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a DevOps / Cloud Engineer PL based in Brazil.
This role is central to ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of cloud-based systems that support critical healthcare operations. You will take full ownership of cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and observability across a modern distributed environment spanning Azure and GCP. Acting as a key technical reference, you will help shape infrastructure strategy, improve platform maturity, and enable engineering teams to deliver safely and efficiently. The environment is fast-moving and highly collaborative, with strong emphasis on autonomy, accountability, and continuous improvement. You will also play a key role in evolving CI/CD pipelines, strengthening security practices, and ensuring production systems remain stable and predictable at scale. This is a hands-on position where infrastructure decisions have direct impact on performance, cost, and user experience across the healthcare ecosystem.
Accountabilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management and evolution of cloud infrastructure, ensuring stability, scalability, and security across all environments. You will act as the main owner of DevOps practices, infrastructure as code, and observability, while enabling development teams to deliver with confidence and speed. A key part of your work will involve maintaining high availability systems, improving operational efficiency, and proactively preventing incidents through strong monitoring and automation.
- Manage and evolve cloud environments across Azure (primary) and GCP, ensuring governance, security, cost control, and high availability.
- Own Infrastructure as Code practices (Terraform or equivalent), ensuring standardization, scalability, and maintainability.
- Maintain and evolve CI/CD pipelines, supporting engineering teams with reliable and efficient deployment processes.
- Lead observability and monitoring strategy across applications, infrastructure, and databases using tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Act as a reference for cloud security, including IAM, identity management, hardening, and compliance support for audits and customer security requirements.
- Support networking and integration topics, including VPNs, site-to-site connections, and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Diagnose production issues and help correctly route problems between infrastructure and application layers.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce operational friction, recurring incidents, and system inefficiencies.
Requirements
We are looking for a professional with solid hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and production environments, capable of operating with autonomy and technical ownership. Strong analytical thinking, communication skills, and a proactive mindset are essential, as this role involves close collaboration with engineering teams and stakeholders.
- Solid experience with cloud platforms, especially Azure, with exposure to GCP being a plus.
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar tools).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Experience with Kubernetes (AKS) and containerized environments.
- Strong background in observability, monitoring, and incident management.
- Solid understanding of cloud security principles, including IAM and access control.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including managed services such as MongoDB Cloud.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in production environments and distributed systems.
- Knowledge of networking concepts, including VPNs and connectivity between systems.
- Ability to communicate clearly with developers, technical leads, managers, and external stakeholders.
- Strong ownership mindset, with autonomy and focus on stability, reliability, and continuous improvement.
