Our client is a prominent player in the Brazilian education sector, focusing on providing educational solutions and services. The company operates in various segments of the education market, offering a range of services from basic education to higher education and professional development.

They have a reputation for innovative and modern approach to education, incorporating technology and contemporary teaching methods to enhance the learning experience.

They are currently looking for a Head of School for one of their premium schools in São Paulo.

You will be responsible for overseeing the overall administration, vision, and daily operations of the educational institution.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

Provide overall leadership and direction for the school.
Develop and implement policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure the smooth operation of the school.
Oversee administrative functions, including budget management, resource allocation, and staff supervision.
Define and communicate the educational vision and mission of the school.
Develop strategic plans and goals for academic and extracurricular programs.
Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement curriculum improvements and innovations.
Hire, supervise, and evaluate teaching and administrative staff.
Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that promotes student well-being and academic success.
Oversee student discipline and behavior management.
Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, students, and the local community.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders through newsletters, meetings, and events.
Act as a spokesperson for the school and represent its interests to external organizations.
Collaborate with teachers to develop and review curriculum content.
Implement assessment strategies to measure student progress and achievement.
Ensure compliance with educational standards and regulations.
Establish and enforce safety and security protocols for the school.
Respond to emergencies and ensure the well-being of students and staff.
Cultivate relationships with educational institutions, community organizations, and potential partners.
Handle crises or unexpected situations, such as emergencies or conflicts, in a calm and effective manner.

Requirements:

Proven experience in curricular development and school management.
Comprehensive knowledge of curriculum and instruction Toddlers 1 – Grade 12 and the ability to manage the academic life of the school on a daily basis.
Command of IB, AP, and/or traditional American curriculum is a must.
Experience abroad within premium, innovative and modern-approach school is a must.
