This role is designed for an experienced SAP ABAP professional who wants to contribute to complex enterprise technology projects and business transformation initiatives.
You will work on the development, maintenance, and evolution of SAP solutions, supporting critical implementations, upgrades, and modernization efforts.
The position involves designing technical solutions, improving system performance, and ensuring high-quality deliveries through best development practices.
You will collaborate closely with functional and technical teams, contributing expertise across SAP environments and integrations.
The role offers the opportunity to participate in strategic projects, including SAP S/4HANA initiatives and Brazilian tax modernization efforts.

Accountabilities:
As a Senior SAP ABAP Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, reviewing, and supporting SAP technical solutions. You will contribute to projects across implementation, upgrade, rollout, and enhancement phases, ensuring quality, performance, and alignment with business requirements.
- Develop and maintain customized SAP solutions based on functional specifications provided by consulting teams.
- Prepare technical specifications and review functional requirements to ensure feasibility and quality.
- Perform technical peer reviews and code reviews, promoting development standards and best practices.
- Implement code remediation activities during SAP upgrade projects.
- Support SAP upgrade initiatives by creating technical objects and executing required technical activities.
- Develop integrations between SAP and external systems using technologies such as RFCs, ALE/IDocs, EDI, Web Services, FTP, and SFTP.
- Design, document, and execute unit, system, integration, and acceptance tests for complex functionalities.
- Perform performance tuning activities to optimize SAP developments and integrations.
- Collaborate with technical teams throughout solution design, development, testing, and deployment phases.
- Provide technical consulting for new initiatives and existing SAP solutions.
- Investigate and resolve complex technical issues.
- Support SAP tax transformation projects through assessments, remediation activities, SAP Notes implementation, integration testing, UAT support, and defect resolution.
Requirements:
We are looking for a senior SAP professional with strong ABAP development expertise, experience in enterprise environments, and the ability to work collaboratively with technical and functional teams. The ideal candidate combines problem-solving skills, technical depth, and experience delivering complex SAP solutions.
- Higher education degree completed.
- Solid experience with SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments.
- Strong SAP ABAP development experience, including:
- New developments.
- Enhancements.
- Code remediation.
- Bug fixes.
- Classic ABAP development.
- Experience developing integrations using RFCs, ALE/IDocs, EDI, Web Services, FTP, and SFTP.
- Experience integrating SAP platforms with external applications.
- Knowledge of SAP SD, MM, and FI/CO business processes.
- Experience participating in SAP upgrade, implementation, and rollout projects.
- Knowledge of Brazilian SAP Localization.
- Experience creating technical specifications and performing code reviews.
- Experience with unit testing, integration testing, acceptance testing, and performance tuning.
- Advanced English proficiency for professional communication and interviews.
