Job Title: Remote Construction Project Accountant (100% Work From Home)

Location: Remote from Latin America

Position Type: Full-time

Salary: $1,000 - 2,000 USD/month paid via bank transfer or Thera

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00a.m to 5:00p.m Eastern Time

Job Overview:

We are looking for a Construction Project Accountant to support the cost tracking and financial management of construction projects. This role will collaborate with accounting, purchasing, billing and project managers/ operations teams to implement accurate job cost tracking and job progress reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis.

Responsibilities:

Track and maintain job budgets and job cost reports

Track and analyze job costs, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors

Prepare monthly job cost and variance reports for management

Collect job performance information to prepare WIP reports on a monthly and annual basis

Monitor materials and subcontractor costs; monitor Purchase Order approval process and enforce adherence to the internal policies by operations and purchasing teams.

Track Change Order activities

Identify potential cost overruns and work with project teams to resolve issues

Support job/project closeout activities, including final cost reconciliation and record keeping

Qualifications, Skills, and Key Competencies:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

2-3 years experience in the similar role, construction or project-based accounting

Strong understanding of the Purchase Order process in construction

Strong understanding of job cost accounting and relevant financial reporting

Knowledge of InEight is a plus

Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively with project managers

Hardware Requirements

The following setup is mandatory due to client request:

Operating System: Windows-based device only (No Mac/Apple computers).

Memory: Minimum of 16GB RAM.

Hardware: Dual-monitor setup (2 screens) is required for efficient workflow.

Connectivity: Stable, high-speed internet with a dedicated, quiet workspace. Candidates must be able to guarantee connectivity regardless of travel.
