Tax Assistant

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Post and review A/P invoices, including merchandise, services, transportation, and debit/credit memos.


• Post and support the validation of A/R invoices, ensuring correct tax treatment.


• Assist in the calculation of ISS and support other indirect tax routines when required.


• Perform reconciliations of accounts payable invoices and tax-related accounts, identifying discrepancies.


• Support the preparation of tax payment forms (e.g., DARF, GPS, ISS guides).


• Assist in the preparation and organization of ancillary tax obligations and reports.


• Ensure compliance with Brazilian tax legislation (ICMS, IPI, PIS, COFINS, ISS) in daily activities.


• Support internal clients by providing guidance on basic tax matters related to transactions and invoicing.


• Maintain proper documentation and support tax audits when necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Job Qualifications: 

• 0-2 years

                Preferred Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in Accounting, Economics, Law, or related fields.


• Basic knowledge of Brazilian tax legislation and tax routines.


• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is a plus.


• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.


• Good communication skills and ability to interact with different areas.


• Interest in digital transformation, including the use of new technologies and AI to improve tax processes and efficiency.
