Field Service Canada is seeking a driven and dedicated individual for the Audio Visual Integration Technician (Level 2) position. Field Service is an industry leader in the
design, installation, service and support of lighting and audio/visual systems across Canada with offices in Toronto, Ottawa and Vancouver.

The role involves a level of autonomy, with the candidate managing work loads within assigned deadlines, working with Project Managers to ensure all projects are delivered promptly and with high levels of integrity.
With our national presence, travel will be required. The role will be based in the Vancouver area
This role includes the following job responsibilities:
Work alongside and under direction of a Senior Technician, Project Manager or Field Project Engineer.
Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints
Perform preventative maintenance visits to help maintain client systems
Take responsibility to accurately complete job documentation as needed including organizing and maintaining
Field Service .CA files, drawings, reports and configurations in both paper and electronic format
Field installation of control programs (QSC, ETC Lighting, Crestron) – upload and download capability
Field service support of networked devices (Switches, Routers, WAPs)
Perform service/install tasks in a timely and quality conscious manner including but not limited to pulling cable, low voltage terminations, installing connectors, mounting projectors, and hanging ceiling mounts
Provide end -user client training
Adhere to and understand WSIB/Worksafe standards for all phases of the job
Setup and troubleshoot various systems as required
Represent both the Company and its clients, professionally and respectfully.
Local and out of town travel required (cost covered by FS)
Working at heights on aerial lifts and ladders
Manages own time to perform within defined schedule and Other duties assigned as needed
Requirements
Ability to communicate effectively with employees, customers, and colleagues
Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans and project documents
Ability to use hand and power tools in a safe and controlled manner
Ability to work and think independently
Basic Mac & PC knowledge
Knowledge of basic signal flow for audio, video and control systems
Minimum of High School Diploma
Technical Theatre or Electronics Technician formal education preferred
Basic Troubleshooting logic
3 -4 years prior AV and or theatrical experience preferred
Ability to clear all background checks required for government security clearances.
