Bartender

Join Our Team as a Bartender:

The Prince George Hotel is seeking an experienced, energetic, and guest-focused Bartender to join our Food & Beverage team at Gio. As a Bartender, you will play a key role in creating exceptional guest experiences by delivering friendly, professional service while preparing and serving beverages and food in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional guest service by recognizing and welcoming patrons, including returning guests.


• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with hotel standards.


• Take and process food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.


• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area, including glassware, garnishes, mixes, and supplies.


• Promote daily features, specialty cocktails, and premium beverage options to enhance the guest experience and maximize sales.


• Operate the point-of-sale system to enter orders, process payments, and balance transactions.


• Ensure all beverage sales are accurately recorded and beverage control procedures are followed.


• Assist with additional Food & Beverage duties as required, including answering phones, taking reservations, and supporting service operations.


• Respond professionally to guest concerns and help create memorable dining experiences.


• Follow all health, safety, and emergency procedures and report hazards, incidents, and near misses.

Qualifications:

• Previous bartending experience required.


• Strong knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and cocktail preparation.


• Excellent customer service and communication skills.


• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.


• Strong attention to detail and cash-handling accuracy.


• Smart Serve/Responsible Beverage Service certification required.


• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
