Job Description - Bi-lingual (Spanish) Loan Processor

Qualifications

3+ years of loan processing experience with a mortgage banker, lending company, bank, or credit union is required
Strong knowledge of the mortgage industry, particularly regarding federal and state regulatory requirements and processing residential mortgage loans (FHA, VA, Conventional/ Purchase, Refinance) under various programs in a quality consistent with all company policies and procedures as well as meeting all government and regulatory requirements
Exceptional customer service skills, attention to detail, time management, and communication abilities
Proficiency with Encompass (LOS), and Automated Underwriting Systems (AUS) is required
Processors with NONQM experience a plus.
Melville, NY 11747 (Required)
Fluent Spanish/English is a must.

Responsibilities

Accurately input loan documentation into the required software systems
Ensure all loan files, credit packages, and disclosure packages comply with company policies as well as state and federal regulations
Verify and validate loan documentation, including title insurance, loan applications, appraisals, credit reports, and income and asset statements, and submit them promptly to underwriters for approval
Act as the primary liaison between title companies, mortgage loan officers/originators, real estate agents, borrowers, and underwriters to facilitate a smooth and timely loan closing process
Order third-party reports and documentation for home loans, maintain the loan file, and assist in resolving underwriting conditions as required

Deliver elite service by providing clear, timely, and professional communication with clients regarding loan conditions, requirements, and status updates
Act as a primary point of contact, addressing client questions and guiding them through each stage of the mortgage process
Manage a pipeline of approved loans, gather loan conditions from borrowers, and work closely with the senior processor to drive loans to "clear to close" status promptly
