About the role

Join our Securitization team, in the Manager, Securitization Operations position. In this role, you will lead the operational execution and governance of key activities supporting the NHA MBS (National Housing Act Mortgage-Backed Securities) Program, including pool creation, readiness for validation, guarantee processes and ongoing operational management.  You will ensure effective risk and compliance governance at the operational level, including monitoring, reporting and resolution of loan errors as well as operational incidents, while supporting the Senior Manager on complex risk assessments and escalations.  In this role, you will prioritize system enhancements and operational improvements while maintaining effective governance documentation and processes. You will also lead a team of professionals, aligning resources and activities to achieve business objectives, drive continuous improvement, and support a high-performing, engaged workforce.

What you'll do: 

• Lead and coordinate day-to-day securitization operational activities, ensuring effective execution of pooling and validation readiness processes.


• Monitor operational performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure compliance with established processes, service standards, and regulatory requirements.


• Resolve critical pooling errors and operational issues, escalating complex matters as required.


• Identify, assess, and address risks related to MBS pooling process, including risks related to non-compliant pools, loans, and documentation.


• Maintain and support risk governance activities, including incident management, reporting, audits, regulatory reviews, and adherence to policies and risk frameworks.


• Act as an MBS (Mortgage-Backed security) business lead in Securitization POD, prioritizing system maintenance, incident resolution, and business-driven enhancements.


• Support the delivery of system improvements and operational initiatives while maintaining governance documentation, procedures, controls, and continuity protocols.


• Lead, develop, and engage a high-performing team by setting objectives, managing resources, fostering accountability, and building organizational capability.


• Support operational excellence through strong team performance, employee engagement, effective stewardship of resources, and the promotion of an inclusive and bilingual workplace.

What you should have:

• An undergraduate degree in business, finance, economics or a related field.

• A minimum seven years of relevant experience, including some supervisory or team leadership experience.  An equivalent combination or education and experience will be considered.


• An excellent knowledge of financial systems, mortgage securitization and NHA MBS program (National Housing Act Mortgage-Backed Securities Program).


• A solid understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g., OSFI).


• A strong knowledge of operational processes, risk management, compliance, and governance practices.

• An experience supporting process improvements, operational excellence, and business systems initiatives.


• Proven analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and drive effective solutions.


• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

It would be great if you also had:

• Experience working within an AGILE / POD delivery model.


• Certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM, project management).
