Civil Foreman – 2 Positions Available

Location: North Vancouver, BC

Compensation: Competitive hourly wage based on experience

Overview

Our client is hiring two experienced Civil Foremen for a major construction project in North Vancouver.

This role is suited to hands-on leaders with strong civil construction experience who can coordinate crews, maintain productivity, and ensure work is completed safely and to specification. Concrete experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• 
  

  Lead and coordinate civil construction crews.

  
  


• 
  

  Plan daily work, assign tasks, and monitor productivity.

  
  


• 
  

  Supervise excavation, underground utility, grading, backfill, and concrete activities.

  
  


• 
  

  Coordinate operators, pipelayers, labourers, subcontractors, and deliveries.

  
  


• 
  

  Read and interpret civil drawings, grades, and project specifications.

  
  


• 
  

  Complete daily reports, timesheets, and safety documentation.

  
  


• 
  

  Identify site issues and communicate with project management.

  
  


• 
  

  Ensure work meets safety, quality, and schedule requirements.

  
  


• 
  

  Provide hands-on support to the crew when required.

  
  

Requirements

• 
  

  Previous experience as a Civil Foreman or Lead Hand.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong civil construction and underground utility experience.

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to lead crews and coordinate work around heavy equipment.

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to read civil drawings and understand grades and elevations.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong knowledge of construction-site safety.

  
  


• 
  

  Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation.

  
  


• 
  

  Reliable, organized, and comfortable working outdoors in all conditions.

  
  

Assets

• 
  

  Concrete construction experience.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience with formwork, reinforcing steel, placing, and finishing concrete.

  
  


• 
  

  Heavy-equipment operating experience.

  
  


• 
  

  Municipal civil construction experience.

  
  


• 
  

  Confined Space Entry, Ground Disturbance, Fall Protection, WHMIS, or Rigging certification.

  
  


• 
  

  Forklift, telehandler, boom lift, or other equipment tickets.
