Class 1 P&D Tractor Driver

Midland Transport is currently looking for a reliable and safety-focused Class 1 P&D Tractor Driver to join our team in Bathurst, NB and support our local pick-up and delivery operations. In this role, you will operate a tractor-trailer to complete scheduled local routes, ensuring timely, accurate, and professional service to our customers. As operational needs require, you may also be responsible for operating a straight truck to complete local pick-ups and deliveries.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

•    Operate a Class 1 tractor‑trailer safely for local pick‑ups and deliveries
•    Perform daily route assignments, ensuring timely pick‑ups and deliveries
•    Complete pre‑trip, en‑route, and post‑trip inspections as required by law
•    Support operations by operating a straight truck if required
•    Drive, operate equipment, and perform all tasks in accordance with safety regulations, traffic laws, and company policies
•    Use an electric or manual pallet jack as required to load, unload, or move freight
 

•    Minimum 3 years of safe tractor driving experience
•    Class one (1) driver's license
•    Clean driver's abstract and criminal search
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•    Ability to safely lift, move, and handle freight as required
•    Strong communication and customer service skills. 
•    Ability to work in various weather conditions and adapt to changing workloads
