Class 5 Delivery Driver

Position Summary 
We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented a Class 5 Delivery Driver to support our delivery team. Truck would be 5-ton (8-10 pallet trucks), Automatic (no brake), Clean driving record and Class 5 License . 

Key Responsibilities  

• Morning truck checks  

• Maintain a clean vehicle  

• Delivery of products to Airports and other pick up drop offs as   

When time permits, provide support to the inside team by assisting with additional duties, including but not limited to the responsibilities listed below.

• Working inside the lobster room helping to prepare shipments for Airport delivery  

• Prepare boxes and materials for shipping orders. 

• Pack lobster  for shipping 

• Load and unload delivery trucks efficiently and safely 

• Operate pallet jacks or forklifts (if certified or trained) 

• Follow all safety and handling procedures 

 Qualifications 

• Previous experience in local delivery an asset or strong knowledge of local routes 

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment  

• Physically fit and able to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly 

• A strong understanding of the Halifax regional Municipality geography.  

Job Type: Full-Time 

Hours: 38 – 45 hours per week, depending on the time of year. 

Salary: $19.00 per hour, depending on experience to start.
