Clerk V - Clerical Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the general direction of the Manager, Medical Imaging or designate, the Clerical Supervisor provides direction and supervision of clerical staff, and co-ordinates the clerical workflow of the office areas. Performs related administrative and clerical duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education, Training & Experience
Grade 12, successful completion of a recognized Medical Office Assistant program and three (3) years’ recent related experience, including one year in a supervisory capacity or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Skills & Abilities
• Ability to keyboard at 45 w.p.m.
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Ability to supervise.
• Ability to organize work.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to deal effectively with others.
• Ability to operate related equipment.
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.

The hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes. Successful applicants may be required to complete a Criminal Records Review Check.
