Job Description - Client Care Specialist - Calgary Animal Referral & Emergency Centre

Client Care Specialist

Location: Calgary, AB

Shift: Overnights

Employment Type: Full Time

Calgary Animal Referral & Emergency Centre is welcoming a full-time OVERNIGHT Client Care Specialist who is an exceptionally organized multi-tasker and enthusiastic self-motivated individual. If you excel at customer service, have a passion for client care, and a love for animals, we are excited to welcome you to our dedicated team! This position will be on a rotational schedule, typically between the hours of 7pm-6am.

Responsibilities:

The role of the Client Care Specialist is to provide exceptional client service and education to our pet parents. Your role is vital to the success of our hospital! You are the first and last point of contact and have the ability to leave a lasting impression building trust and loyalty with our clients.  Your responsibility is to enhance the client’s experience by coordinating between the clients and members of the medical team. This role ensures the clients and their pets feel welcomed, expertly cared for and appreciated.

The ideal candidate is organized, calm under pressure and customer service focused, ideally you have:

  • Prior experience in customer service and administrative duties

  • Prior knowledge/or ability to learn medical terminology

  • Exceptional client service skills

  • Empathetic, nurturing and positive attitude

  • Skilled in prioritizing needs, open to change and adaptable

  • Initiative in carrying out assignments independently

  • Attention to detail with above average time management skills

  • Must be flexible with rotation overnight schedule

  • Previous veterinary experience or graduated from an accredited Veterinary Assistant program is preferred
