Commercial Cleaner

We have a full-time position for Commercial Cleaner in Langley, British Columbia.

Reporting to the Operations Manage and working collaboratively with the Field Service team, the Commercial Cleaner is responsible for cleaning and disinfecting our fleet rental assets (modular buildings) and office, to enhance esthetics, quality and safety of those areas, following Company standards and safe work procedures, including compliance with prescribed PPE (personal protective equipment).

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in commercial cleaning, with a high standard for cleaning and disinfecting areas. Experience cleaning within restoration, disaster recovery, or commercial buildings would be preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Consistently ensure our yard, all rental assets and office space maintain a safe, clean, sanitized and orderly condition including:
  
  
  
  • Cleaning, disinfecting and restocking bathrooms
  
  
  • Cleaning and disinfecting kitchen areas, bedrooms and appliances
  
  
  • Mopping, vacuuming, and steam cleaning to disinfect floors
  
  
  • Washing walls, windows and glass surfaces
  
  
  • Regularly disinfecting frequently touched surfaces such as doorknobs, light switches, counter tops, and other surfaces
  
  
  • Removing garbage and other items as required
  
  
  • Moving items as required
  
  
  
  


• Inspect the condition of our fleet assets and notify management of any visible repairs needed


• Ensure Black Diamonds high standards of cleanliness and safety are met


• Other duties as required

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a commercial cleaner, or similar


• Previous experience in working in environments that require a high level of sanitization, PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and safe work practices


• Previous experience in cleaning/sanitization within a restoration (floods, disaster recovery, etc.) or facilities is strongly preferred


• Must have high attention to detail and quality standards


• WHMIS trained, with experience in working safety with commercial grade cleaning supplies


• Ability to pass both a pre-employment and random drug & alcohol testing as required


• Ability to clear a pre-employment criminal records check


• Knowledge of PPE and safe work practices


• Must have valid driver’s license and be able to provide a clean driver abstract

Working Conditions

• Working both indoors and outside in all weather

Physical Requirements’

• Comfortable with working outdoors in all weather


• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.


• Must be able to complete physically demanding duties, including but not limited to standing for long periods, repetitive movement, and lifting
