Confined Space Entry Technician

• Work in confined space for shifts of up to 2 hours
  


• Operate pressure wash wand with up to 3000 psi pressure
  


• Stand, sit, crouch and kneel for extended periods of time
  


• Participate in installation and removal of energy isolation devices, blanks, blinds, etc.
  


• Rig in / rig out ventilation, wash and vacuum equipment
  


• Follow directions accurately
  


• Accurate reporting of conditions in the confined space
  


• Assist confined space entry personnel in donning and doffing required PPE when entering and exiting confined space when not in confined space
  


• Perform assigned emergency response roles including confined space rescue
  


• Actively participate in safety meetings, tool box meetings, permit and hazard assessment reviews
  


• Prepare hazard assessments as appropriate
  


• Maintain composure during high stress and multi-tasking challenges
  


• Support cleaning of respiratory protective equipment
  


• Complete required inspection records for PPE and equipment
  


• Complete required inventory of trailer daily and at end of project
  


• Support outside of space operations, maintaining support equipment in berm / work area as directed

Requirements

• Previous experience in confined space and industrial cleaning operations an asset
  


• Physically and mentally fit
  


• Able to lift and carry up to 45 Kg
  


• Standard First Aid (2 Day Course)
