We are currently seeking someone who is eager to learn, committed to having a safe and healthy workplace and to ensuring the delivery of quality products for the full-time position of Processing Coordinator in our Dartmouth, NS Branch.

This is a full-time salary position, 37.50 hours a week.

Please note: this location is NOT bus route accessible, and all forthcoming applicants will need to have access to a reliable vehicle.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ability to multitask and prioritize jobs based on projected or confirmed due dates


• Proficient in Microsoft excel and word


• Meet all deadlines in a timely manner


• Ability to work independently


• Ability to work in a very fast-paced, sometimes stressful work environment


• Fast and accurate data entry skills


• Inputting all material processing cutting orders


• Back up for outside processing clerk re: inputting purchase orders and stock transfers that are all based on sales orders, tracking outside processing orders and updating corresponding spreadsheets, relay status of outside processing orders to shipping and operations in daily production meetings


• Produce part drawings using AutoCAD


• Nest and sequence parts for CNC multi-axis Plasma and CNC Laser using Hyperthem ProNest

Qualifications and skills required:

• Knowledge of CNC machines would be a benefit


• Knowledge of AutoCAD would be a benefit


• Be able to understand technical drawings


• Post Secondary education


• Good knowledge of math and measurements


• Good communication skills


• Experience with Microsoft excel and word


• Ability to climb 12-14 stairs


• Metal or Fabrication industry experience


• Knowledge of Laser, Plasma, Oxy-Fuel cutting processes


• Knowledge of plate processing software (Hypertherm ProNest)
