Reporting to the Manager of Platform Engineering, the candidate will work as an integral part of the Platform Engineering team to provide supporting capabilities as well as design and deployment of various Cloud-based and on-premise databases.
Additional duties may include:
•Assist with the building and operation of Cloud-based infrastructure for various projects.
•Design, build, document and optimize database schemas.
•Monitor database performance, availability and security, and audit existing designs.
•Support database operations across Telesat including connectivity, integration, design and maintenance activities.
Candidates must live in the Ottawa-Gatineau area or be willing to relocate to Ottawa-Gatineau. Relocation assistance will be provided to those who qualify.
Candidates must be willing to be onsite three (3) days per week.
\nMain ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate must be able to work in Canada and obtain clearance under the Canadian Controlled Goods program (CGP). Canadian government security clearance may also be required.
