Alberta Infrastructure is responsible for delivering about one quarter of the Alberta government’s Capital Plan, which addresses the provincial infrastructure needs of Alberta’s population that support key social programs and services and economic development.
The Ministry designs, builds, manages, and maintains government-owned and operated facilities, and collaborates with other ministries to ensure that school and hospital infrastructure meet the needs of Alberta’s population. Infrastructure also provides accommodation services and manages a large portfolio of owned and leased facilities while maintaining fiscal accountability and optimizing value for Albertans.

The Director, Project Delivery – Alternative Project Delivery, leads the planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and occupancy of Compassionate Intervention Centre infrastructure projects and other assigned capital initiatives. The position provides strategic leadership and oversight of a complex portfolio of projects that support Government of Alberta priorities related to addiction, mental health, recovery-oriented services, and public safety infrastructure.
The position promotes leading practices in capital project delivery and maintains networks with other jurisdictions, public sector agencies, industry representatives, and professional organizations to identify emerging delivery methods, innovations, and risk mitigation strategies. Advice and recommendations provided by this position inform executive decision-making and support achievement of ministry and Government priorities.
The Director manages staff, consultants, and project resources to achieve results in an effective, collaborative, and accountable manner while fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and client service excellence.
