Dishwasher(Full Time)

As a Dishwasher at Chartwell, you’ll be a key part of the Dining Services team, ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly, and our residents enjoy a safe, pleasant dining experience. Your reliability, attention to detail, and teamwork will help us maintain the high standards our residents deserve.

What You’ll Do

• Wash dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment by hand or in an industrial dishwasher


• Keep kitchen equipment, floors, and work areas clean and sanitized


• Empty garbage bins and take waste to the proper disposal area


• Keep storage and utility rooms tidy and sanitary


• Help with receiving and storing food supplies as needed

What You’ll Bring

• Secondary school education or equivalent


• Food Handler certification (training provided if needed)


• Previous dishwashing or kitchen experience, preferably in a retirement residence or hospitality setting


• Teamwork skills and good communication skills to interact with colleagues and residents


• A customer-focused mindset and commitment to maintaining a safe, efficient work environment

Additional Requirements

• Ability to work in a hot kitchen environment while standing for extended periods


• Physical ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds, bend, push, and pull


• Manual dexterity to handle tools and kitchen equipment safely


• Willingness to wear personal protective equipment and follow all safety procedures


• Clear Criminal Background Check, VSS and TB Test where required
