Dock Lead Hand - Weekend Day Shift - Great Pay!

• 3 x 12 hr shifts starting at 10 am to 1030 pm on Saturdays Sundays & Mondays. (Paid as 40 hrs IF you complete all 3 full 12 hr shifts each weekend)    
• Load and unload different types of freight from/to different trailers or stage it on the dock using our electronic handheld device
• Use handheld device to note any exceptions - shortages/overages/damages/no bills
• Mark materials with identifying information
• Cube and/or reweigh materials as necessary using Dimensioner machine or manually when required.
• Assist co-workers and drivers in loading, unloading or finding freight 
• Start heaters, placard trailers as required
• Arrange freight in specified sequence for maximum usage of trailer space and take pictures per procedure.
• Must take an active role in safety and maintenance of the warehouse by sweeping the floor, proper storage of dunnage, etc. 
• Will cover foreman duties when he is off
• Other duties may be assigned

• Must have previous supervisory/lead hand experience
• Must be punctual and have good attendance
• Must have forklift experience; previous experience with various extensions ie: carpet pole, boom/slings, etc would be an asset
• Cross dock experience preferred
• Able to perform under pressure with tight deadlines
• Able to lift 50 lbs, sometimes repetitive
• Ability to multitask and manage various tasks successfully
• Developed problem solving, critical thinking, decision making and judgment skills
• Computer skills required 
• Ability to shunt trailers an asset - will train.
