Job Description - Driver

GARNEY

A Driver position is available at Garney. The Driver safely transports materials, tools, and construction equipment to and from job sites, ensuring all loads are properly secured and vehicles are well-maintained. This role also requires compliance with safety standards and supporting field crews with general labor tasks in active and sometimes congested work environments.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Transport construction materials and equipment (including large diameter pipe) using a flatbed truck, ensuring loads are safely secured

Plan and navigate delivery routes through traffic, tight access points, and active construction sites

Assist with loading and unloading materials and support material staging as needed

Perform daily vehicle inspections, maintain logs, and ensure overall vehicle cleanliness and readiness

Follow all safety policies, use required PPE, and maintain awareness in active construction zones

Communicate and interact professionally with coworkers, vendors, and the public

Support field crews with general labor tasks and other duties as assigned between deliveries

CDL Water Truck driver, loading truck with water, and applying water to job site areas as needed

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Ability to safely operate work trucks and transport construction materials and equipment

Knowledge of proper load securement and safe handling practices

Comfortable working in high-traffic, active construction environments with a strong focus on safety and detail

Effective team player with the ability to follow directions and communicate clearly

Flexible and adaptable to changing schedules and project needs

3+ years of experience driving work trucks (or similar), with a clean driving record and construction-related experience preferred

High school diploma (or equivalent) and experience transporting materials or operating heavy equipment is a plus

CDL Class A with Tanker Endorsement.
