Job Description - Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement Functional Architect


This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement Functional Architect based in Canada.


This role focuses on designing and delivering end-to-end Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement solutions that enable organizations to transform their customer-facing processes. You will act as a key advisor across sales, customer service, field service, and marketing domains, translating complex business needs into scalable cloud-based architectures. The position blends functional consulting, solution architecture, and client engagement, with a strong emphasis on leveraging the Microsoft Power Platform to drive modern CRM capabilities. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across business, technical, and delivery teams to shape solution direction and ensure successful implementation. The environment is highly collaborative, client-facing, and innovation-driven, offering exposure to diverse enterprise transformation projects. This is a strategic role suited for professionals who combine deep Dynamics expertise with strong consulting and communication skills.


Accountabilities


In this role, you will lead the design and delivery of Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement solutions while supporting both pre-sales and implementation activities:



  • Design and architect end-to-end Dynamics 365 CE solutions aligned with client business needs and industry best practices

  • Work closely with clients, analysts, developers, and architects to gather requirements and define solution strategies

  • Provide pre-sales support including demonstrations, technical consulting, and contribution to proposals and Statements of Work (SOWs)

  • Translate complex business requirements into scalable CRM and Power Platform solutions

  • Leverage Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse) to deliver modern customer engagement solutions

  • Develop solution documentation including architecture diagrams, data models, integration designs, and transition materials

  • Support Agile delivery practices, including backlog refinement and collaboration through Azure DevOps

  • Advise on user adoption strategies, organizational change management, and CRM best practices


Requirements


The ideal candidate brings strong functional and architectural experience in Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement and a consulting-oriented mindset:



  • 5+ years of experience in customer engagement domains such as sales, customer service, field service, or marketing

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement or legacy Dynamics CRM

  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse)

  • Experience working in Agile environments (3+ years preferred)

  • Proven background in business analysis, requirements gathering, and solution design

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences

  • Experience facilitating workshops and translating business needs into technical solutions

  • Strong self-motivation and commitment to continuous learning and professional development

  • Certifications in Microsoft Dynamics 365, Solution Architecture, Scrum, or related areas are considered strong assets

  • Experience with integrations (Azure Integration Services, APIs) and data migration is an advantage
