We are seeking an Ecommerce Manager to join our Marketing Team at The Brick. This individual should see themselves as a natural leader, team player, someone who enjoys new challenges and is very results driven. The successful candidate must be self-motivated and demonstrate the ability to work in an agile environment.

Working alongside the Marketing Team, the Ecommerce Manager will lead our growing Ecommerce Team. This individual will be the leader and champion of online performance for thebrick.com and our other digital properties. As Ecommerce Manager, you will be responsible to set and achieve targets, perform analysis and report on site performance, support the execution of our product roadmap and most importantly, inspire and lead the Ecommerce Team in their daily work and career development. This opportunity will offer a wide variety of projects and experiences working in collaboration with team members and executives across Marketing, Product Buying and Store Operations.

Responsibilities






What does success look like in this role?

  • Deliver on daily sales KPI’s and user experience goals.
  • Provide leadership to the Ecommerce Team through daily mentorship and support.
  • Manage and prioritize daily work for your team, while continually looking for improvements in process and productivity.
  • Influence and assist on strategic vision for The Brick’s digital roadmap.
  • Manage and prioritize work for The Brick’s digital roadmap that supports the overall marketing plan. This requires effective collaboration with the Marketing Team, Information Systems, Operations and Purchasing Teams.
  • Research customer trends and expectations to help analyze, plan and design the best solution for current and future websites/applications.
  • Provide day-to-day support on the implementation of large-scale projects.
  • Define and track key metrics for digital initiatives to help determine the success of any site changes or conversion improvement tactics.
  • Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support and deliver digital initiatives.
  • Proactively present key reports and findings to stakeholders, and outline recommendations.
  • Coordinate and execute the delivery of promotions and campaigns while following brand tone and digital styling across all touch points.
  • Continual recruitment for key skill sets and assurance that the current team continues to enhance their skill development with the latest technology and ecommerce trends.
  • Maintain an intimate understanding of the competitive landscape and forward-looking trends to provide key stakeholders insights for future planning.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Oversee Team members in the following areas: Web Design, Web Development, Promotions Coordination, Product Catalogue, Copy Writing, Operations, SEO Strategy, Customer Experience and Online Chat.








Qualifications






  • Post-secondary education in Business, focused on Marketing, Ecommerce and/or Communications.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Ecommerce, Digital Marketing or relevant marketing fields.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Strong technical working knowledge of relevant and new marketing technology, ecommerce, website environments, and technology stacks.
  • Strong proficiency in Google Analytics and other marketing performance tracking platforms.
  • Experience in organic SEO and CRO planning and strategy.
  • Advanced understanding of the fundamentals of user experience-based design and mobile/desktop design planning.
  • Ability to analyze numbers, communicate results and provide action plans and next steps recommendations.
  • Experience with testing and quality assurance.
  • Site optimization planning in conversion and other user experience-based metrics.
  • Strong communications skills, comfortable and confident presenting ideas to others.
  • Experience negotiating with outside vendors.
  • Self-starter, good time management and organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record of strong ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects at once and meet deadlines.
