Callisto is looking for experienced Electrical Journeymen to join our team supporting the ITA2 Project at the Kearl Site near Fort McKay, Alberta. Reporting to the Electrical Foreman, the successful candidate will perform industrial electrical construction activities safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards while contributing to the successful delivery of the project. The Electrical Journeymen is responsible for installing, testing, maintaining, and commissioning electrical systems while supporting apprentices and working collaboratively with the construction team.

Responsibilities:
Construction Activities
- Install, modify, and maintain industrial electrical systems in accordance with project drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
- Install cable tray, conduit, cable, grounding systems, lighting, junction boxes, control panels, MCCs, switchgear, heat tracing, and associated electrical equipment.
- Perform cable pulling, terminations, equipment connections, and system installations.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, one-line diagrams, and construction specifications.
- Perform testing and troubleshooting as required to support construction and commissioning activities.
Quality & Productivity
- Complete work in accordance with project quality requirements and applicable electrical standards.
- Verify installations before inspections and turnover activities.
- Identify and report deficiencies or potential issues to supervision.
- Maintain productivity while ensuring quality meets project expectations.
Teamwork
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, fellow tradespeople, subcontractors, and client representatives.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices.
- Participate in daily toolbox talks, planning meetings, and safety initiatives.
- Maintain a professional and respectful work environment.
Safety
- Perform all work in accordance with Callisto’s HSSEQ requirements.
- Participate in hazard assessments and job safety analyses.
- Maintain housekeeping standards and ensure work areas remain safe and organized.
- Immediately report hazards, incidents, or unsafe conditions.
Your knowledge/skills, education and experience:
Knowledge/Qualification/Training/Certification:
- Alberta or Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyperson Electrician Certificate.
- Valid CSTS 2020 and WHMIS certification.
- Industrial construction experience.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
- Strong understanding of the Canadian Electrical Code.
- Experience working on industrial, oil sands, mining, or heavy construction projects preferred.
- Previous experience in remote camp environments is considered an asset.

HSSEQ

Details about the role:
Location: Kearl Site, Fort McKay, Alberta
Rotation: 14 days on / 7 days off, 10-hour shifts
Camp: Camp accommodation and meals provided at Wapasu
Transportation: Charter flights provided from Calgary or Edmonton only
