We are seeking a skilled Electromechanical Assembler to join our production team in building and deploying commercial quantum computing systems.
In this role, you will draw on your experience assembling electrical and mechanical systems to build a wide range of quantum computer subsystems and components, including high-vacuum assemblies, ultra-low-temperature cryogenic systems, RF electronics, electrical panels, and electromechanical control systems. As a member of a small and dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects and continuously develop new assembly and fabrication skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Assemble mechanical systems and structures based on technical drawings and 3D CAD models.
Assemble and install prototypes to support research and development activities.
Build electrical power distribution panels and electromechanical control panels.
Fabricate cable assemblies and wire harnesses to required specifications.
Route, organize, and secure cables for durability, reliability, and neatness.
Perform light fabrication work (e.g., drilling, cutting, manual machining).
Participate in the installation and commissioning of systems at client sites.
Follow internal quality assurance and documentation procedures. (optional addition—recommended)
QUALIFICATIONS
College diploma or vocational diploma in electromechanics, mechanics, manufacturing, or a related field, or 10+ years of relevant professional experience.
5+ years of hands-on mechanical and/or electrical assembly experience in a professional setting.
Valid driver’s licence.
Ability to lift 50 lbs and work safely in a workshop environment.
Strong fine-motor skills and manual dexterity.
SKILLS
Ability to assemble systems based on mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics, and detailed work instructions.
Strong aptitude and comfort with mechanical assembly and precision work.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and measurement instruments.
Experience with fabrication methods (e.g., soldering, brazing, machining, sheet-metal work) is an asset.
Experience assembling high-vacuum or cryogenic systems is an asset.
Willingness and enthusiasm for learning new skills and techniques.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a solutions-oriented mindset.
Excellent communication skills and an ability to work effectively within a team.
Ability to work methodically and maintain a clean, organized workspace
