Job Description - Emergency Response Technician

Ambipar Response Canada (Emergency Services) is a leading emergency response company committed to safeguarding communities and the environment by ensuring rapid, effective responses to various emergency situations. We provide expert fire, medical and rescue services, spill response, hazardous materials management, and emergency incident coordination. Our team is dedicated to excellence, safety, and innovation in emergency response.


 


We are seeking full-time/on-call Emergency Response Technicians (ERTs) local to Edmonton, AB area. Workers must be residing in this area or cover their own expenses to commute to and from the office location.


 


RESPONSIBILITIES 



  • ITM of systems at our clients’ locations.

  • Respond to emergency situations to protect people, the environment, and property from all types of accidents and emergencies.

  • Inspect and monitor confined spaces, work at heights as required and ensure rescue and fire equipment is inspected and maintained.

  • Work within a team environment to complete truck and equipment checks.

  • Provide emergency Fire, Hazmat, Rescue and Medical care and other related services at the scene of an emergency, accident, disaster, or large scale incident.

  • Transport patients to safety during an emergency

  • Attend and participate in internal and worksite meetings.

  • Complete hazard assessments and rescue plans

  • Train within your crew



Qualifications


Desired tickets listed below:



  • A valid class 5 drivers license with 6 or less demerits (required)

  • NFPA 1001 or NFPA 1081 (asset)

  • Confined Space Rescue Certified (asset)

  • High Angle Rescue (asset)

  • H2S Alive (asset)

  • Advanced First Aid (asset)



Additional in-house qualifications provided:



  • NFPA 1081

  • Confined Space Rescue

  • High Angle Rescue

  • Hazmat Response Technician

  • Medical Training



Experience:



  • emergency response: 1 year (preferred)



SCHEDULE



  • Monday-Friday

  • On-call for Emergency Responses

  • 8 to 12-hour shifts

  • Day shift

  • Night shift

  • Weekend Call Outs
