Estimator

Working with the Estimating team, you will be responsible for job-specific budgeting, as well as model and option database maintenance and development.

The Responsibilities

• Prepare material take-offs and assist in creating model budgets.


• Prepare job release files and issue purchase orders in a timely manner.


• Review trade quotes for accuracy.


• Review purchase order variance against budget and provide explanation and review with Management for corrective action.


• Process variance purchase orders as required.


• Ensure all job file documentation is distributed to the trade partners in a timely manner.


• Assist in the maintenance of the database by updating costs and identifying areas of improvement.

• Understanding of construction documents and the ability to assess their completeness


• Strong, clear, and precise, written, and verbal communication skills


• Ability to solve problems based on clearly defined procedures


• A motivated self-starter with meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical skills


• Service oriented, with the ability to work well within a high-performance team environment
  
  

Our ‘Must Haves’

• Completion of post-secondary education with a degree or diploma related to Estimating


• Effective communication skills and ability to build positive working relationships
