Tourism and Sport - one of the Government of Alberta’s most exciting ministries! We lead the development, sustainability and growth of Alberta’s visitor economy. We also lead the growth of Alberta’s non-profit sport system as well as promote safe and welcoming environments for sport, physical activity and recreation.
The Sport, Tourism and Recreation (STAR) Division leads programming for the department. The Division is comprised of the Assistant Deputy Minister's office; the Sport, Physical Activity and Recreation (SPAR) Branch; the Tourism Policy and Strategy Branch, and the All-Season Resorts Branch. The STAR Division collaborates with many Government of Alberta Ministries and with a broad range of tourism, sport, physical activity and recreation stakeholders. In modeling the Alberta Public Service Values, the Exhibit Designer has an essential role in collaborating with the SPAR branch, other teams within the division, as well as other ministries and stakeholders to obtain organizational goals.

About the Role
As an Exhibit Designer, you will play a key role in transforming interpretive concepts into immersive, visitor-focused experiences across Alberta’s museums, historic sites, and interpretive centres. Working as part of a multidisciplinary creative team, you will lead exhibit design projects from concept through installation, developing engaging physical and interactive environments that support Heritage Division’s mandate to steward and share Alberta’s rich heritage. This role combines creative vision, technical expertise, project leadership, and strong collaboration to deliver high-quality experiences that connect Albertans with their stories and history.
