As of January 1, 2026, Conexus, Cornerstone, and Synergy credit unions have merged into one provincial credit union serving over 200,000 members in 57 branches across 50 Saskatchewan communities.

The bigger picture 

We are actively seeking a Financial Advisor at our branch in Fort Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan who brings a solid background in Lending, Investments or both, along with a genuine drive to grow and advance. We will also consider applicants with limited advisory experience and a desire to learn more. As a Financial Advisor, you will focus on cultivating meaningful relationships with your assigned portfolio of members to understand their financial goals and support their achievement. This includes the offering and fulfillment of financial services and products, including consumer lending and investments (including mutual funds). 

How you’ll be spending your time 

Member Experience and Sales

• Proactively identify members’ financial goals and provide advice and solutions to support their achievement through the provision of introductory financial planning


• Provide account, investment and lending products, within scope of position, to meet member needs:

  • Consumer investment products including mutual funds
  
  
  • Complex consumer lending products
  
  
  • Cards
  
  
  • Registered products
  
  
  • Safety deposit boxes

  • Day to day banking needs
  
  
  
  


• Conduct proactive outreach activities to educate members and prospective members on the value and function of our products and services


• Increase retention and expansion of member relationships by referring members to appropriate subject matter experts, based on needs, and follow-up to ensure member satisfaction

Compliance and Organizational Support 

• Ensure complete, accurate and timely documentation


• Adhere to security and operational policies, procedures and operational controls


• Ensure a healthy balance between opportunity & risk and between growth & profitability (e.g. through understanding and application of profitability margins in rate negotiation, fee subsidies, etc.)


• Positively represent Conexus externally to support the growth of our membership and to enhance credit union system support and collaboration


• Proactively identify opportunities to enhance processes and improve operational efficiencies


• Provide support, assistance and backup as required for retail team

The experience you bring 

• 3+ years of Financial Industry Experience in an Advisory Capacity


• Experience working in a customer care/customer service role


• Experience in portfolio management


• IFIC Licensed and experience selling Mutual Funds is an asset


• Experience in Underwriting Loans is required, experience in approving those loans is an asset


• Personal Financial Services Associate designation; or working towards it


• Certified Financial Planner Designation; or working towards it

Salary range

• Financial Advisor $50,180 - $62,720 with a 7% Short Term Incentive Target


• Financial Advisor, Lending or Investments $58,540 - $73,710 with a 9% Short Term Incentive Target


• Senior Financial Advisor $67,660 - $84,570 with a 10% Short Term Incentive Target

Final salary offers will be determined commensurate with qualifications in alignment with internal equity practices.
