Fitness Attendant I - Elsie Fabian School - 070-2026

ABOUT THE ROLE

Under general supervision, the Fitness Attendant I
ensures a safe and enjoyable Fitness Centre experience for guests. This position will be located at our Elsie Fabian School. This position is temporary, part time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Perform guest admittance checks. 

• Monitor guest safety and adherence to Fitness Centre’s policies and rules. 

• Prevent injuries by providing public education and responding appropriately when first aid treatment and/or emergency response is . 

• Monitor fitness center areas for safety and general cleanliness. Immediately rectify any unclean or potentially hazardous conditions in a proactive nature, whenever possible. 

• Help assist with set ups, take downs, and safely store equipment in a timely and cooperative manner. 

• General cleaning and maintaining of the Fitness Centre facility and equipment. 

• Provides exceptional service to Fitness Centre users. 

• Attend all required training. 

• Coach and mentor new staff. 

• Perform other related duties as required. 

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Must have completed or be willing to complete: Intermediate First Aid (Standard First Aid) with Level C CPR Certificate. 


• Previous experience in fitness and recreation operations or a similar role is an asset. 


• A clean criminal record and vulnerable sector check is required


• Must be over the age of 18


• Experience working in a First Nations community including knowledge of culture, traditions and values.
  

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

This position has been designated as safety sensitive and requires strict compliance with all company safety policies, procedures, and standards. As a condition of employment, the successful candidate will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test prior to commencing employment.
