Ruth and Naomi’s Mission has been serving Chilliwack for over 20 years. We operate 24/7 across three locations, serving over 500 meals daily and providing shelter for more than 200 people each night. The Opportunity

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Food Service Manager to oversee the daily operations of our kitchens across multiple sites. This role is responsible for ensuring nutritious meals are delivered with care, while maintaining food safety standards, supporting staff and volunteers, and managing inventory and donations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee the preparation and delivery of daily meals


• Supervise and support kitchen staff and volunteers


• Manage food inventory, donations, purchasing, and storage


• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards


• Collaborate with other departments for special events and seasonal meal services


• Train staff and volunteers on food handling and kitchen procedures


• Maintain clean and organized kitchen spaces across all locations


• Support employment program placements within food service kitchens

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of kitchen experience, including 2 years in a supervisory or management role


• Valid Food Safe certification


• Experience in high-volume or multi-site food service preferred


• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills


• Compassionate, respectful, and patient approach toward vulnerable populations

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary range of $59,987.20 - $68,556.80, depending on experience

Work Environment

• Full-time position with some evenings, weekends, and holidays


• Travel between Chilliwack locations required


• Physical demands include standing for long periods and occasional heavy lifting
