Job Title: Forklift Operator

Location/Pay: Vancouver and Lower Mainland, BC, Canada ($22/hr)

Responsibilities: As a Forklift Operator, your main responsibilities are:

1. Equipment Operation: Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move, load, and unload materials.


2. Material Handling: Transport construction materials, equipment, and supplies throughout job sites, warehouses, and designated work areas.


3. Loading & Unloading: Safely load and unload trucks while ensuring materials are properly positioned and secured.
   Safety Compliance: Follow all workplace safety procedures, including BC Occupational Health and Safety regulations and site-specific requirements.


4. Equipment Inspection: Perform daily forklift inspections and report any mechanical issues, damage, or safety concerns.


5. Site Organization: Maintain organized work areas and ensure materials are stored safely and efficiently.


6. Communication: Work closely with supervisors, drivers, and construction crews to coordinate material movement and follow directions.


7. Documentation: Complete equipment inspection records and other required paperwork accurately.

Qualifications: To be considered, candidates should have:

1. Certification: Valid forklift operator certification.


2. Experience: Previous forklift operating experience is preferred.


3. Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of workplace and equipment safety procedures.
   


4. Physical Fitness: Ability to lift and move materials as needed (Minimum, 25 lbs).


5. Equipment Skills: Comfortable operating forklifts in warehouse, construction, or industrial environments.


6. Team Player: Ability to work well with supervisors and other team members.


7. Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and committed to maintaining a strong work ethic.


8. Attention to Detail: Ability to safely handle materials and follow instructions accurately.
