About The Role
Our client is seeking to hire a Full -time Permanent nanny to care for their 18 -month -old twin boys in Toronto.
- Location: Toronto, ON - Rosedale neighbourhood. They are planning on relocating to Etobicoke near the Bloor subway line at some point in the next year.
- Children: 2 children: 18 -month -old twin boys.
- Role Type: Full -time permanent position.
- Start Date: Target start date is June 10, 2024, to coincide with the parent's return to work on June 17th.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. End time will be 7 pm 1 -2 days per week.
- Travel Expectations: The family requires the nanny to accompany them for 4 -8 weeks per year to their family cottage and may engage in some international travel if the nanny is interested.
- Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000 annually.
About The Family
The family consists of a mom, her 18 -month -old twin boys, their grandmother, and a Morkie dog. They are easy -going and value connectedness, approaching their children with love, understanding, and a sympathetic approach. The grandmother and housekeeper are often around, and they take a collaborative approach towards caring for the boys.
The Perfect Caregiver
The ideal nanny should thrive in a team environment, be physically fit to care for 2 active toddlers, and have a positive can -do attitude. They should be friendly, fun, active, organized, and knowledgeable about early childhood development. Communication skills are essential, as the nanny will work closely with other caregivers and family members.
Responsibilities
- Provide complete care for the twin boys, including creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
- Plan and engage in age -appropriate activities to foster growth and development, including accompanying the boys to scheduled activities out of the home.
- Prepare meals and snacks for the children, following any dietary preferences or restrictions.
- Perform light household tasks related to the children, such as tidying up toys and doing children's laundry.
- Accompany the family on trips and outings, including travel to their cottage in Tiny, Ontario, and potential international travel.
Requirements
- Experience caring for toddlers
- Experience caring for twins a strong asset
- First Aid/CPR certification
- COVID -19 vaccination
- Non -smoker
- Comfortable being around animals (the family has a Morkie, 3 cats, and a dwarf bunny)
- Previous nanny experience strongly preferred
- Early Childhood Education certification an asset
- Degree or diploma in ECE, Child and Youth Care, Psychology, PSW or another relevant study area is an asset
- Post -secondary education in Early Childhood Education
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record strongly preferred
- Willingness to travel at least 3 -4 weeks per year. Opportunity for more travel, based on the nanny's interest
