General Manager - Residential Construction

About the Opportunity

Our client is an established homebuilder that is seeking a General Manager to lead its Regina operations. This senior leadership role oversees residential construction, production homebuilding, project scheduling, and team performance, ensuring homes are delivered on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.

The ideal candidate brings experience in residential construction management, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining excellent client and trade relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  

  Construction Operations: Oversee all residential construction activities, manage site supervisors, and drive production targets and operational performance.

  
  


• 
  

  Project Management: Maintain master construction schedules, monitor build timelines, manage purchase orders, and coordinate construction budgets.

  
  


• 
  

  Pre-Construction: Oversee permitting, design coordination, trade scheduling, and project setup.

  
  


• 
  

  Quality Control: Ensure homes meet building codes, company specifications, and applicable warranty standards.

  
  


• 
  

  Trade & Supplier Management: Maintain strong subcontractor relationships, coordinate procurement, and resolve scheduling or material delays.

  
  


• 
  

  Team Leadership: Coach and manage construction staff, establish performance expectations, and promote accountability.

  
  


• 
  

  Client Experience & Warranty: Oversee service and warranty operations, resolve escalated concerns, and support positive homeowner experiences.

  
  


• 
  

  Safety & Compliance: Support site safety initiatives and COR certification requirements.

  
  

Qualifications

• 
  

  Experience in residential construction management, production homebuilding, or construction operations.

  
  


• 
  

  Proven leadership experience managing construction teams and multiple active projects.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong knowledge of residential construction processes, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience coordinating subcontractors, trades, suppliers, and building permits.

  
  


• 
  

  Understanding of building codes, quality assurance, and residential warranty requirements.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  
  


• 
  

  Familiarity with construction management software; experience with Omnee is an asset.
