• The client is looking for a senior Guidewire Tech Lead who can act as a full technical reference on the platform, combining Gosu and Java development, application architecture, and team mentoring, in the context of modernizing a property & casualty insurance program from an acquisition done in 2024.
  
  


• The recurring keywords (technical leadership, technical reference, application architecture, mentoring) point to a hybrid profile between a senior developer and an architect, rather than a pure delivery manager.
  
  


• The status of the mandate reopening and openness to candidates outside Quebec suggests a scarcity of Guidewire ACE profiles that combine the desired technical seniority and leadership experience.
  
  


• The profile should not be confused with a senior Guidewire developer without management scope, nor with a pure application architect without recent and active Gosu/Java development practice.
  
  

Requirements

Required:

• Minimum 8 years of relevant software development experience
  
  


• Minimum 6 years of experience on the Guidewire platform
  
  


• Minimum 3 years of experience in technical leadership, lead developer, or application architect roles
  
  


• Guidewire ACE Certification
  
  


• Proficiency in Guidewire, Gosu, and Java
  
  


• Expertise in REST/SOAP services, XML, and JSON
  
  


• Knowledge of French
  
  


• Advanced English proficiency
  
  


• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
  
  

Preferred:

• Proficiency in application architectures, integration, and cloud environments
  
  


• Knowledge of Agile, DevOps, CI/CD practices, and source code management tools
  
  


• ClaimCenter development experience dedicated to commercial lines
  
  

Asset:

• Experience mentoring or coaching junior developers
  
  


• Experience with pricing model management
  
  


• Experience in ongoing communication with Guidewire technical advisors (vendor liaison)
  
  


• Knowledge of the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain
