Hardware/Tools Associate

As a Hardware/Tools Associate, you will help the customers to fully understand their needs and assist in selecting the right products for their requirements. As knowledgeable sales professionals, sales associates can make recommendations which solve customers' problems and enhance their shopping experience. Starting hourly wage is $17.25.

• Drive sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge 
• Clarify and understand customers’ needs and take them to the best solution for their projects.  
• Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions
• Take initiative and confidently direct customer interactions 
• Produce quotes, material lists and follows up
• Demonstrate high standards of safety and customer service  
• Resolve customer challenges quickly and efficiently. 
• Continually learn about products and market conditions

• 
  Excellent communication and team player 

• Sales and customer service experience 

• Possess a high level of attention to details 

• Ability to lift 55 lbs.

• Ability to workdays/evening/weekends (rotating shifts) 

• Ability to learn and operate the applicable computer system (D635) used to process orders 

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent considered an asset

• Bilingual – French/English considered an asset
