Position:

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring the safety of our employees, maintaining compliance with regulations, and fostering a strong safety culture throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate external training and site access requirements.


• Oversee near misses, incidents, and accident investigations, reporting, and tracking processes.


• Maintain up-to-date health and safety policies and procedures.


• Create and deliver internal training courses.


• Maintain up-to-date training records.


• Create and deliver relevant toolbox talks.


• Coordinate and participate as a management representative on the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC).


• Perform field inspections and audits as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Strong communication and people skills.


• Ability to work days, evenings, nights, and weekends.


• Mine site experience.


• Working knowledge of health and safety-related legislation.


• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean abstract.


• Train the Trainer certification considered an asset.


• Bilingual – French and English considered an asset.
