Job Description - Health, Safety & Well-Being Partner (Cabico Coaticook)

A pivotal role in a great team


The successful candidate will contribute to the company's success by assuming the following responsibilities:



  • Define and lead the HSE policy in line with management’s strategic direction.

  • Set objectives for health, safety, and workplace well-being.

  • Monitor regulatory and technical developments related to best practices.

  • Plan, ensure compliance, and follow up on audits and external inspections in partnership with our external firm Médial.

  • Identify, assess, and prevent workplace safety risks.

  • Implement, supervise, and monitor corrective actions related to risk assessments.

  • Propose and execute preventive and corrective action plans.

  • Ensure legal compliance with HSE regulations, CNESST follow-ups, and coordination with external partners.

  • Train and raise awareness among internal and external collaborators on HSE best practices.

  • Plan, organize, and lead prevention campaigns, audits, inspections, emergency simulations, and ad hoc committees.

  • Actively participate in developing the company’s health and safety culture.

  • Oversee and follow up on HSE activities through the existing HSE Committee.

  • Track and analyze HSE performance indicators, prepare periodic reports for management, and make continuous improvement recommendations.

To meet this challenge successfully, we're looking for a person driven by the values of respect, teamwork, commitment and pride, with the following qualifications;



  • A bachelor’s degree in HR management and a certificate in Occupational Health & Safety.

  • At least five (5) years of relevant experience in HSE management and training.

  • In-depth knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations (Labour Code, standards, laws, etc.)

  • Experience in project management and HSE risk management.

  • Strong analytical and crisis management skills.

  • Demonstrated positive, participatory, and motivating leadership.

  • Excellent prioritization and organizational skills.

  • A role model in HSE practices.

  • Professional, respectful, and collaborative behavior.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
