We are seeking a French\-speaking HR & Payroll professional located in Canada, preferably in Quebec (Montreal preferred). The ideal candidate understands Quebec HR regulations and payroll practices and is comfortable navigating the specific employment standards and compliance landscape in Quebec.
Experience level is flexible, but the candidate must have practical exposure to HR operations and payroll processing, particularly within Quebec.
Key Responsibilities
HR Responsibilities ⢠Support employee lifecycle processes (onboarding, documentation, offboarding). ⢠Interpret and apply Quebec labor standards (CNESST, employment standards, statutory leaves, etc.). ⢠Maintain employee records in compliance with provincial regulations. ⢠Support HR documentation in French (contracts, policies, communications). ⢠Act as a point of contact for employee HR inquiries in French.
Payroll Responsibilities ⢠Process payroll for employees located in Quebec. ⢠Ensure compliance with Quebec payroll regulations (QPP, QPIP, CNESST, etc.). ⢠Manage deductions, remittances, and statutory reporting. ⢠Coordinate with finance or external payroll vendors as needed. ⢠Assist with payroll audits or year\-end processes (e.g., RL\-1, T4).
Required Qualifications ⢠Fluent French (written and spoken) â mandatory. ⢠Based in Canada (Quebec strongly preferred). ⢠Working knowledge of Quebec employment laws. ⢠Practical experience with payroll processing. ⢠Familiarity with Quebec statutory deductions and remittances. ⢠Basic understanding of HR processes and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications ⢠Located in Montreal. ⢠Experience working with payroll systems. ⢠Bilingual (French & English). ⢠Experience supporting multi\-provincial payroll (asset, not mandatory).
